Camo Faith will work towards being established as a 501(C)3 Non-Profit Organization. Our mission will be to serve individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, low in-come families, at-risk youth, and veterans through programs designed to education and offer opportunities in conservation and adventure.  We will also offer opportunities to serve the Kingdom through fellowship and mission-based activities. Our priority is to seek volunteers to help in carrying out the mission and being transparent in how all funds are used; which is accomplished through regular sharing of financial statements, disclosure of operating costs and procedures, statistics and tracking of impact of programs, as well as plans and projects for the future.

CORE VALUES

Faith- Christ commanded His followers to go forth into the world to teach others what He taught us. This includes living a life that showcases Christ in our daily walk, loving and serving others, and forgiving others where we hold resentment.

Family- The body and personal family. We strive to be leaders in our homes, the fellowship, and our workplaces. Our calling is to disciples and lead by example to those around us. When we have our homes in order, we can begin to serve others and have a biblical impact in the world.

Community- The bible tells us that faith, without works is dead. While we understand that works alone will not save us, we do realize the calling to go out into the world. We do this by seeking opportunities to serve the kingdom in the community.

MISSION STATEMENT

To live a kingdom life by setting an example of God’s love for His people through study, leading, and serving; to share the gospel and bring others into fellowship; and be good stewards of the earth and its resources so others may see God’s beauty in the world for generations to come.

MINISTRY VERSE

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:2)

Once established as an Non-Profit organization, below is an example of the programs and opportunities Camo Faith will work to promote. Please note, until such time that we are established as a 501(C)3 Non-Profit we will not be accepting or soliciting funds, donations or other avenues for income.

Public and revenue generating services:

Retail Outlet

Our retail outlet offers products related to the outdoors, faith, and pet supplies. You’ll find items such as rods, reels, bait, collars, leashes, bibles and more. We also accept donations at our outlet that can be refurbished and offered at a discounted price, though many of the donated items are distributed free in support of our mission rather than sold.

Charter Guides

These trips prioritize safety, adventure and conservation. We go above and beyond to educate, while also ensuring you have an experience to remember by placing Christ at the helm (pun intended). Fishing and river cruise options are available; choose the package that best fits your needs.

Rental Service

Rental services include a variety of options to help you get outdoors. This includes kits for backpacking and camping, kayaks, canoes, small boats, and ice fishing. Different pricing tiers offer discounts for longer terms while keeping the cost affordable to you.

Fundraiser Events

Throughout the year we will host a variety of events to raise additional funds to help support our mission programs. Some of these events include boat rides at public events, fishing tournaments, work-donation event volunteering, and more. These events help not only to raise funds but also offer an opportunity to raise awareness surrounding topics of conservation, faith and more.

Deductible Donations

As a 501(c)3 organization, you can make financial contributions as well as donate items to support the Camo Faith ministry. As a nonprofit organization, all profit goes back into our programs. Our goal is to be good stewards and therefore it is our policy to be transparent with how all money is handled and spent, as well as what our operating costs are.

Mission based programs supported by the ministry:

Fish Kits

If you have old gear you’re looking to get rid of, consider donating it to Camo Faith. We will take the time to clean it up, make repairs where possible, and then put together fishing kits. Fishing kits are then given out free to at-risk youth, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. We also accept pet products such as dog houses, collars, leashes, etc. Pet kits are prepared as free starter packs for those adopting pets from local no-kill pet shelters.

Service Cruise

As part of our mission to share the love of Christ, and encourage conservation and adventure, we offer fishing and river tours. These trips are focused on individuals with disabilities, veterans, and at-risk youth. These trips are provided at no cost. Some benefits of boating trips include stress reduction, nervous system regulation, sensor of freedom, core muscle engagement, and sensory exercise.

Quality Employment

Our retail outlet is primarily staffed and run by the hiring and employing of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Managers act more as job coaches while offering professional development and guiding day-to-day operations. Our goal is to help our employees find meaningful work with fair pay and personal growth.

Educational Conservation

Through volunteer activities such as river clean-ups, and public education booths, Camo Faith will spread awareness and education on topics such as, but not limited to, invasive species, boater safety, healthy living, and the importance of volunteering in the community.

Biblical Fellowship

As a ministry, members and volunteers will meet regularly to connect personally, grow professionally, and praise spiritually. Members and volunteers will typically spend fellowship time praying, studying scripture, learning new outdoor skills, and planning events.

Blog Vlog

Many of our adventures will be recorded or documented and shared. A small “media” section will be provided online where members and volunteers can share their experiences and knowledge as a service to others interested in learning more about the outdoors, knowing Christ, and what Camo Faith is about.

Garden Composting

One of the opportunities our volunteers will assist with is gardening and composting. While we will welcome compost drop offs, we will host a small garden where the food grown will be used in the feeding of a worm farm. These worms are then packaged and sold in the retail outlet, allowing for another task for our paid employees. This program helps to teach about gardening, composting, recycling, agriculture, and renewable choices.
